I am officially not contagious for strep as of today. Go me. At least I was fine enough to celebrate my best friends birthday yesterday! We went out to Outback for dinner. I haven't had Outback in so long and it was so nummy. They have the best sprite! Weird of me I know. Like McDonalds has good Coke, Outback has good sprite. Try it, I'm telling you, you will not be disappointed.
As for my life right now though, I have to write my english project still, and write an extra credit paper for my anthropology class. Grweat. -_____- Can someone just come take over my body and finish this semester for me? I really don't think I am going to make it. :(

training!
Hey guysssss. I am super excited and figured my blog would be the perfect place to share!
I am officially signed up for a 5k this February (which is farther away than I want it to be), and will be signing up for a half marathon in December (soon) which will take place at the end of April.
I am super excited because this has pushed me to work out and it is competitive enough to work out hard so I will get a good time on my 5k!
There is no better motivation than fear of embarrassment. :)
Not so sure how I will do on the half marathon, I have never ran one of those before, but I have a running plan and am very excited to try and defeat 13 miles of trail in one run! And you get a sweet shirt, who doesn't like that?
I can do it!
I will be back soon to talk about the dreaded final project.

government papers
I am currently in the Education Library trying to bust out a paper I should have worked on over break.
Whoops.
It isn't due until Thursday but I am not trying to rush on a big paper worth a lot of point on something I am not very interested in.
The paper is about the supreme court and if they use their power wisely.
Not that I really care about it because either way there is really nothing I can do about it. If they use their power wisely, great. If they don't, well, sorry about America's luck because there really isn't anything I can individually do about it.
As you all can see, I needed to take a break to get off the topic of it and I needed to also catch up on blogs just in case I needed to post over break. That obvi didn't happen because my parents don't have their wireless internet hooked up.. They have been paying for it for over 5 months and still don't have it set up. I have no idea how to do it and my techie boyfriend won't do it either for some unknown reason.. Boys..

oh the joys of the library on a freezing cold monday morning.
can't it just be summer again? walking to class in this cold SUCKS!
anyways, after my zombie like appearance to my 9:00am class I got even more sleepy since we had to watch a movie. which I consider talented because I wasn't sure I could get any more tired today. but the movie in class was alright. it was the third part of a big movie so at least I didn't miss it when I missed this class to go back home early last wednesday. I'm guessing that I will be okay since so many other people missed that day in class as well. PLUS if you write a paper about all three parts of the movie then you get extra credit and since I was in class for all three days that the movie was shown I am definitely going to jump on that extra credit opportunity. who can pass up ten easy points? especially in a class where you have an unclear idea about how you are going to finish that class grade-wise.
you can tell it is the end of the semester though. the library is jam packed all the time and my plate of assignments couldn't get any fuller:
an english project due 11-29 (thank God I didn't procrastinate on this!)
a 5-7 page government paper due 11-29
2 weeks worth of math assignments due 11-29
an extra credit anthropology paper due 12-5
a research project for FYE due 12-4
an anthropology reader assignment due 11-28
a volunteer project at the YMCA on 12-1
2 more anthropology reader assignments due 12-5
a meeting in the BHC 12-5
a math assignment due 12-6
then BLOODY FINALS (angry british voice)
Monday at 8:00am
Tuesday at 12:30pm
Wednesday at 8:00am
^two 8:00am exams?!?!?! am I being punked?
ugh off to start crossing things off this list.

back to basics
Hey y'all.
I'm back after a long week of no wireless Internet. I definitely take that for granted back at my apartment here in Kzoo. Anyways I had a great thanksgiving with family and ate wayyyy too much! It was amazing.
I am not going to lie, the end of the semester is definitely stressing me out. Like beyond stress I think. Whatever though. Just need to stay organized and get through these next couple weeks. Plus I have to bust out some blog posts because I am not sure if I needed them over break.. Sure hope not!
Off to get set for this upcoming week of classes.
Hope everyone's holiday was as good as mine.
Oh and in case you were wondering, the family drama was non-existent this year! Woohoo!

MESS
Everyone I am officially a mess. I almost forgot to email my paper due tomorrow! I feel like I am losing control. Thanksgiving Break couldn't come at a better time.
Although I am grateful to be away from the stress of school, I am nervous about a new stress I will be experiencing with the family. But that's enough on all that. I will just have to let you guys know how it goes next week.
Project 2 has been done, and now it has been lifted off my shoulders. Now I did work ahead on Project 3 and boy am I glad. It is going to be very tricky to make the journal. I will be vital to find the rules to apply to your genre, but with my boring topic of Resumes and Cover Letters, it will be tough.
I am pleasantly surprised with this genre though because I can actually use this project even after I turn it in! Haha to whoever stole my topic of tattoo's and graffiti, last time I checked that topic is more entertainment than anything.
Off to bed now though, which means scrolling around on Pinterest until my eyes shut on me.
