writing

I must admit, as much as I don't want to, that writing an annotated bibliography helped me bust out my paper.  Along with my outline, it took my way less time you write my paper than it would without the annotated bib.  I think that it helped so much because I had all those sources right next to me, and throughout my outline as I needed more support I just looked at the annotated bib, found something relevant and used it as support to prove the point of the paragraph.

I am also glad I decided to do the movie Bridesmaids, not only do I enjoy the movie enough to watch it 3 times in a row to get the points for my outline, but it really worked out to write this piece about it.

Overall I am happy with my first draft but am also thankful that it will be looked at by my classmates when we have peer review day.  One of my favorite parts of writing is getting feedback on my paper.  Sometimes my paper will make sense to me because I already know in my head what I am writing about, but to others reading it, they don't quite get the full point.

Off to do other homework though.
Ta ta.  Keep it classy.

midterm happiness

seeing as the midterm grades were released i thought i would dedicate this post to celebrating two things, my grades and that we have reached the half way mark of the semester! woo hoo!

i could seriously cry for joy knowing that this semester is almost over! whoodie woop yea!

it has been a long "half semester" so far, and adjusting has been very hard, blowing off my senior year definitely didn't help me, but according to my grades, it hasn't set me back too bad, just didn't make the semester any easier on myself.

also I could seriously cry for joy after seeing my grades! *selfie high five*

in high school, my school used a system called power school were you could literally see every assignment, every day you were marked absent, etc. but  here at WMU that is not the case. most classes do not even tell you your grade until the end of the semester and for control freaks like me, it FREAKS me out to say the least.

but as with all things i cannot control, i must deal with it.

at least for the lower classes, the university "advises" the class instructors to post midterm grades, so at least i can slowly adjust to not knowing my exact grades in classes. and i was more than happy with my grades for the midterm this semester, as were my parents :) yay!

well off to go do some homework to celebrate my good grades.. *sigh* :(

adios bloggeritos. keep it classy.
